For Such a Time as This.

14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”-Esther 4:14

This week's post is dedicated to the families in Syria and other countries who are fleeing their homeland in search of safety. Though the story of how this tradgety began is quite complex, praying to God and laying the devistation of this world at the feet of Jesus is not. It is so easy to become overwhelmed by the evil in this world and feel powerless in the face of battle, but we were designed for such a time as this. We were made to be in communication with our God, who does not rely on our abilities to determine the fate of this world. Our job is to follow Jesus and in turn, love like Him, live like him, and walk along side him, despite where that may take us. Let's take a moment today to pray to God in a steady conversation focused on the love and peace for our fellow brothers and sisters in parts of the world we will never see. Here today may we surrender our efforts to perfect this world, and instead live righteously in reaction to His love.
