Recently evil seems to have run rampant in our world, with the absence of God being the headline news. However, we know God brings forth good in all evil.
But acknowledging that God provides good in the presence of the enemy is a difficult fact to find comfort in when the fear of our surroundings is so great.
James tells us that not only does all good come from God, but is also a gift straight from heaven. This means that in witnessing good we are also witnessing glimpses of heaven! When we step out of the realm of evil and into the realm good, we are stepping into heaven. In other words, when we see good, we are seeing heaven. Evil has been in the world since the beginning, but has never conquered the world for the presence of heaven cannot be conquered.
When we pray for those living in fear, when we give to those facing adversity and when we glorify God in times of absolute tragedy, we are stepping into heaven and shall fear no evil.
Let us continue to pray and seek good for those living in fear. God is good. God is righteous. And God has invited us into heaven.
